Who doesn’t love a good origin story….

In one of his earliest jobs – as a project manager, while in his late twenties – Todd found himself seven thousand miles from home – a stranger in a strange land – in charge of overseeing the installation of a menagerie of life-size robotic animals (elephants, sheep, and cows) for a cultural theme park in Shenzhen, China.

Only problem was, none of the local workers spoke English…and Todd spoke no Chinese. After standing around and staring at each other, Todd realized that if he couldn’t communicate in words....maybe they could communicate in pictures!

With that idea in mind – and pen and paper in hand – Todd’s career as a visual thinker, visual communicator, and visual leader was born.

I brought Todd Cherches of BigBlueGumball in to facilitate a leadership team building offsite for my team – it was perfect…and he was fantastic! I hope this is the beginning of a long-term coaching relationship with our organization!
